Common cat grooming requests
- Lion cut: body clipped short, leaving the head, legs and tail fluffy. Popular for long-haired cats in Florida heat.
- Dematting: removing tangles that pull on the skin, common in Persians, Maine Coons and older cats who groom less.
- Bath and blow-dry: for greasy coats, senior cats, or cats that got into something.
- Nail trims: quick and often done as a stand-alone visit.
Tips for a smoother visit
Bring your cat in a secure carrier. Tell the groomer about any health issues, past reactions or biting. Some cats do better with a mobile groomer, since there are no barking dogs nearby. Very stressed or medically fragile cats may need grooming at a veterinary office instead.

Ocala Dog Grooming is a free referral service, not a grooming salon. We do not groom pets ourselves. Requests are passed to independent groomers and mobile grooming vans in the area that set their own prices, do the work and are fully responsible for it. Ask any groomer about pricing, vaccination requirements and how they handle nervous or senior dogs before you book.
